#5 PRINCESS PHILIPPA (2-1) picked up a 4 point penalty after pulling 4,9L clear of the 3rd horse (#8 here) when beaten by the unbeaten Captain Peg last time. She’d lost her way a bit in the middle of the year, but she’s bounced back strongly and this looks her ideal trip. Her draw should allow her her to be perfectly placed to challenge off the spur and she’s first choice.
#9 RIMAAH (4-1) faded tamely in her last start, but she’s been given time to strengthen up and she has form very close to two Grade 2 winners. She should go very well here despite the 4 month rest.
I’m not looking beyond these two for the winner.
