#7 GILDED BUTTERFLY (3-1) is a filly who impressed me early in her career with her turn-of-foot, but I saw when I backed her when she won over 1500m 5 runs back that she wanted more ground. I therefore opposed her as the Fav in subsequent three starts over 1600m as I thought she wanted 1800m+. I didn’t work the meeting when she won over 1800m last time, but that has at least vindicated my opinion and she always had the race under control. She’s 3 points under sufferance here and that after receiving 7 points for her last win, so I can’t be super confident in her winning this, but she only carries 52kgs and I think she can follow up again over this trip anyway.
#’s 5,6,9,10 and 11 can all be given a chance.
I am looking to oppose the two at the top of the market, #’s 1 PINK TOURMALINE (2-1) and 2 BOLD FORTUNE (4-1). They look in their place off their current ratings and I’M AGAINST THEM.
